Dos Palmas Arreceff Island Resort Palawan

Dos Palmas is on Arreceffi, a paradise Island of 20 hectares lost in the middle of beautiful Honda Bay. The Island's natural beauty is breathtaking, crystal clear waters, with a long, white sand beach shaded by coconut trees. The Island is extended by marshlands where numerous species of local and migratory birds thrive. Upon arrival, you get the impression of entering into a real oasis. A profusion of giant gumamelas and multicolored bougainvillea swell into a magnificent garden where verdant grass, meticulously maintained, carpet the ground around the trees. From the architectural point of view, it is rather surprising to see stark white structures devoid of any indigenous material. The white, corrugated iron roofs, more weather-resistant than nipa roofing, nevertheless follow the form of the typical Badjao Tribe houses. Bamboo and wood, on the other hand, are used in the interior of cottages and common areas. The Single Detached Bay Cottages on stilts, located at the resort's entrance are ideal for couples assuring them of complete privacy and tranquility. The  Duplex Garden Cottages are ideal for families because of a loft which can accommodate three or more occupants. Bright spacious and quiet, the rooms are simple furnished in white wood and the high ceilings are made of beautiful braided wicker. The bright bathrooms are clean and comfortable. At Dos Palmas, much attention is given to the quality of service always warm and dependable. The beauty of the site and its tranquility will seduce you. Here, there is no intrusive music nor jet lapping of the waves, bird songs and the occasional banca passing by in the open sea.

Holiday Inn Resort

The Holiday Inn Resort opened in March 1996 in Clark Field, the former American Military base. It is an immense hotel complex set in a 250-hectare site which includes a golf club. The eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991 caused a lot of damage but today, the area has still more than 7,000 trees, among them beautiful hundred year old mimosas. From the gardens, and even better from the rooftop, there is a superb view of Mount Arayat. The Hotel complex was designed by Jose Mamosa, the Filipino architect who also designed the Pearl Farm and Amanpulo resorts. He created a warm and intimate Filipino-Spanish ambiance, which was not very easy given the vastness of the setting. You can choose between two types of lodgings either a bedroom in a five story building or an individual villa. The  villas are luxurious, very spacious and bright, thanks to large but windows with venetian blinds. They include a kitchen, drawing-cum-dining room, two rooms with bathrooms,  a private terrace for domestic staff and a garage. the hotel is also a popular venue doe seminars and conferences. Coconut Grove Beach Resort

Coconut Grove Beach Resort is on the edge of a s beach, in a beautiful garden enclosed by a pebbled wall. The well-maintained garden is full of coconut trees, bougainvillea, fregrant frangipani trees, philodendrons clinging to knotted tree trunks, ficus tree and hibiscus. Little stone pathways lead to the different buildings. The cottages are at the back of the beach on a slight elevation obscured by the vegetation. these are constructed from natural materials like wood, bamboo, with roofs and walls made of painted nipa. The interior of each room, though a bit dark, is pleasant with wood flooring and wicker furniture covered with floral printed fabrics. Each one has a terrace with a little bamboo sofa. Although the cottages are semi-detached, the privacy of each one is preserved through bamboo partitions that separate the terraces. The most pleasant cottage in the resort is the only one on the beach very specious, with a drawing room and a second room in the mezzanine. The decor is better planned-mother of pearl lamps, colored wall hangings. It has a nice marble bathroom. Along the beach are the garden bar, the swimming pool and the restaurant. The Garden Bar, with high stools and wicker tables was built with little beach pebbles, its interior is painted in a bright yellow. The nearby swimming pool is pretty, surrounded by multi-colored bougainvilleas. It is pleasant to stop by here and have a drink as there are lounge chairs and tables scattered around. Above the swimming pools is a a stone and two cotes. The sea, however, does not have any exceptional coral just a few little fish but there are stare fish of incredible form and colors. A nature-friendly retreat far from the cluster of Manila is Panglao Island Nature Resort 20 minutes from the airport of Tagbilaran City in Bohol. It is built on 14 hectares of trupical aluure, a secluded spot where you can bask in the warmth of sunshine and be cooled by the torquoise blue water that surrounds the island. From a good vantage, they can even be seen looking like the world famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol. Similarly, the resort's Infinity Pool seems to merge with the sea from a certain angle despite its being about 15 meters above the sea level. All the different rooms in the resort, while featuring luxurious aminities, also have that natural and local touch, especially in its furniture and fixtures small patches of greenery are in the bathrooms and even the closet and drawer handles are made of guava tree twigs. Among the interesting modern features in the bungalows, however, there are outdoor Jacuzzis. The resort has practically every little beach to offer. Nonetheless, it has white sand but as fine and as that of Boracay. The resort itself was built on top of a cliff. To get to the small stretch of beach, you need to go down some steps, some 15 meters below. The resort offers numerous aqua and non-aqua daytime activities and may also arrange tours of the different places of interest found in the Islands of Panglao and Bohol. the resort has a restaurant offering Asian cuisin.
