Ananyana Beach Resort

The small road leading to Ananyana Beach Resort, amidst lush vegetable, does let you except a natural setting, with a resort featuring local materials such as bamboo, nipa or sawali. But as pass the wooden gate, adorned with the fertility symbol that is the logo of Ananyana, you reach a place that is also both exotic and romantic. The garden resembles a tamed jungle forest with a jungle plants, strewn with red and orange flowers, where earthen jars and anitos, the carved figures of forefathers and spirits, are scattered. Vegetation reaches the border of the appealing, small white and sand beach. Set in the midst of the garden, as in the glade, are the few buildings of the intimate resort, housing the reception area, the restaurant, the dive shop and the suites. All have thatched, two-level roofs. The adjoining swimming pool is entirely made of natural stones, and its clear water is inviting and soothing with bluish-green hues, whose sight induces a feeling of calmness. One building houses the eight suite rooms, four in each of the two levels. The facade of the first story is covered with stone and the second with wood. Each room has a balcony, whose flooring is, together with the interior area, made of warm reddish Vigan tiles. Shutters are made of wood. The simple but elegant native furniture comprises a big bamboo bed and a wooden bureau-cum-dresser, while the bathroom makes use of the same stone and wood theme that permeaters the resort. the open air restaurant, set beside the pool, has the view of the beach as well, with fresh flowers decorating each table. the Asian fusion-cuisine food is simple, but the restaurant prides itself of choosing ingredients for their freshness, spicing them with local herbs and ingredients.
