Eden Nature Park & Resort

Eden Nature Park & Resort, with its 80 hectares of pine groves, is a haven of peace, greenery and coolness where it is enjoyable to ak and fee the crunching of the pine needles beneath your feet. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Talamo, with an altitude of about 830 meters, it offers a magnificent view of the gulf of Davao and the Island of Samal. In the 70's the region was primarily known for its orchid cultivation and excessive forest exploitation. A davao based businessman named Jesus V. Ayala, and his wife Fe Misa, bought the property in 1974 and decide to undertake the eco-tourism project of reconverting the area into young, vigorous forest. They imported pine seedlings from Benguet and Bukidnon, replanted 30% of the land and constructed forest trails. After 30 years, they have achieved a big part of their objective. A botanical garden, an orchard, and a kitchen garden allow their visitors to discover the fora and fruit tress in the region. White parrots and mynahs can also be found in the resort's little aviary. You can also visit a breeding area that shelters various animals such as deer, monkeys and Indian peacocks. There is a also a stable for those who love horseback riding. Going around the resort's ground is done either by foot or by riding on a jeep.

For large groups, the Hidden Cottage or the Log Cabin is recommended. The Hidden Cottage  is tucked among the pine trees. It is suitable for a group seeking privacy. On the other hand, you can enjoy the lovey view of the pine forest of the 25 years old Log Cabin, which has fully equipped kitchen, a drawing room, and a dining room complete with fireplace. the children's playground, remarkable well equipped, is a mode of its kind. The restaurant, Holiday Terraces, is constructed on five levels under an impressive archway of tall tress. Bordered by mini water falls, it is particularly pleasant because of the coolness. In the evenings, you maybe invited to sit down on the grass-covered benches of the amphitheater, a place for the family gathering and shows, where each family prepares an entertainment number. Certainly, this resort has much to offer not just to individuals but to the whole family as well.
